Hey friends!  I just got done about 20 minutes ago with a 9 mile run.  I didn’t go very hard, and it took me about 1 hour 14 minutes.  I’ve never jogged for that amount of time before, and it’s pretty insane.  I’m learning a lot about myself, running and life in general so far.  My diet has already changed pretty drastically, but as I got a stomach ache at about the 7 mile mark today, I learned it will have to change even more.  Any little toxin that you put in your body, can come back to haunt you when your trying to go 26.2 miles.  I’m still hanging onto my Starbucks habit, but that might have to go :(

So… I’m thinking about turning this run into a fund raiser.  Pretty cliche I know, but if I’m going to train this hard, and set a goal to do this, it might as well benefit others!  I’m thinking about trying to get pledges, $ per mile, for the marathons I run.  Each dollar will go towards supporting adoption and single parent families.  Good idea?  What do you think?
