This is somewhat of a continuation of my post yesterday, I heard these lyrics on the radio today in an Edwin Mccain song “I’ll be”. They really hit me concerning the Father’s heart and also how I would like to live my life. I desire to be so rooted and secure in the Father’s love that I could become the greatest fan in the lives of a generation. The Father has to be “greatest fan of our life,” He has to be. Have you ever seen a father watch his son do something well, or for the first time? He gets that sparkle in his eyes and joy swells in every fiber of his being. I have felt that way watching kids that aren’t even mine. If we, mere men feel this way, imagine God’s delight in us! This song lyric to me is the spirit of discipleship, it’s the heart of the Father in heaven. He wants us to know that He’s cheering us on, and when we know this and our destiny is secured with that truth alone, we are freed to become the biggest fans of our own children and other people. Like David in Psalm 16:3 who with the Fathers heart burning inside of him says ” As for the saints who [are] on the earth, They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight” Can’t you just see a smile on God’s face as He looks at His people. They are doing small things, great things and mundane things. And He turns to His son and says, did you see how He called out to me! Son, did you hear that song she just sang, it was marvelous! Did you see his painting Jesus, it was so creative, I wonder where he gets it
Here’s some other lyrics from the song that I like
“ And I’ve dropped out, burned up, fought my way back from the dead
Tuned in, turned on, remembered the thing that you said”

How my heart cries to know this truth. To know that God is ny biggest fan. Not that I don’t know, but I don’t really know. Again, thank you.
