Long at Last

01Mar07

I’m back.  There’s a good reason I haven’t blogged the past several day’s (I have attempted to do so)  but I won’t bore you with it.  I feel good though guys.  I feel like a dog with a new tail, or a boy with a new toy…  anyways I’m currently inspired to live life to it’s fullest.  There’s really no particular reason, it’s just the way I feel.  It might have something to do with working a new job, being around new people and living in a new place.  I guess sometimes change is good. For all those of you who are believers and are currently working in the marketplace, I commend you.  You know that little saying that goes something like “be in the world, but not of it?”  Well it ain’t such a little saying, and it’s not that easy.  At least not to do it well (like Jesus)

Update on my reading Assignment:  I Posted previously about the book “The World is Flat”

I was doing my best to get to Barnes and Nobles and read it periodically.  This got me about 20 pages in a couple of weeks so needless to say it wasn’t working well.  I broke down and bought the book on Amazon.com and I’m happily awaiting it’s arrival.

A thought on Enduring everything:  I’ve found lately that it’s the only way to really grow (selah)

A thought on the battle to endure:  I was thinking yesterday about when I used to play basketball for school.  One of my main goals was to play with such an intensity and ferocity that I would literally cause my opponent to give up.  Oh, they kept playing the game, going through the motions, but you could tell that they quit long before it was over.  I used to call it, “taking their heart.”  The best remedy for this would have been to not allow my antics to get into their head and to just focus on their responsibility and keep fighting.  It just seems that we should take a similar approach, especially as the end draws near.  Honestly, if your going through the motions because the pressure has been to great, wake up, ask for grace, cry out, do something….  ask for help, that’s what I’m doing, asking for help.  His mercy is new every morning and He really like us even in our weak broken state!  (selah)
