There is a realm in God according to Isaiah 55 in which we have access to “buy and eat…buy wine and milk” and all of this without money. The Lord in Isaiah 55 wants to make a point, and let us know, that our soul is in need of nourishment that only He can provide, and He is wondering why we continually “spend money on what is not bread… and wages on what doesn’t satisfy” (my paraphrase).

There are several ways to receive the nourishment and living water’s of the Holy Spirit. I want to focus on one in particular, Hearing and meditating on God’s Word. I believe in this specific season of my life, and maybe yours, God is calling us to “Incline your ear and come to me, Hear, and your soul shall live.” This is a key for us. It’s as if He is saying, are you thirsty for an increase of fruitfulness to spring up in your heart? Do you want to live the abundant life that I have promised? Do you desire to see the power of my life enter your being? Then incline your ear to me in a new way, Hear my Words and your soul will prosper.

John 6:63
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

John 6:68-69

But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”

There is a place of increase and nourishment in the spirit. There is a realm in which our soul can delight itself in abundance. Let us incline our ear to hear Him in a new way, and let us feast on and be filled with His Word like never before. As His Word gains entry into our hearts, it will not return to Him void, butwill produce exactly what it was sent for.
