Love

In Matthew 5:48 It says to be perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect. That’s right, it says to be perfect. And not only does it tell us to be perfect, but it comes right after an exhortation to love your enemies. And this is the battle I find myself in the midst of. Will I learn to love? Will I love the unlovely? Will I love those that mistreat me? Will I take up my cross like He did for me and move beyond my comfort and selfishness and pour myself out? Will I forgive and extend uncommon Mercy? This is the best way I am finding. To truly walk this out, all I can do is lean.
